Guides,
Boats & Equipment
Being one of the
most unique and popular fishing lodges in North America requires the same
for our professional guides. Each of our professional fishing guides has a
minimum of 25 years fishing experience. Feel free to ask us for references
from all over the world. It's not only about superb fishing skills, it's
also about personality.
We have a team of 8
experienced TOP guides, each of them an expert in his own field. If you
like to fish pristine and untouched waters, fly-fish for salmon and trout,
fish out of a belly boat, steel heading or go after big sturgeon and
salmon in our valley we have THE EXPERT FOR ANY FISHING METHOD on board of
our loyal guiding team.
Whether you stay at
our lodge or in some of our local accommodations - you are still able to
book our guides for a fishing trip of a life time. We provide only the
best aluminum river boats with the possibility of either open air or fully
enclosed cabin. Included is the fishing tackle, all fishing equipment,
including specialty rods and reels, custom built rods and fighting belts
for sturgeon and waders.
A
Word about our Boats:
These days, most guiding companies pride themselves in having the
"biggest" boats on the river. Sounds good- but we look at this different.
There are many prime fishing spots which YOU CAN NOT REACH WITH A HEAVY
AND BIG BOAT - GUARANTEED!!! Whenever we need large boats, we use them.
But when it comes down to fish some river deltas or some pristine
wilderness rivers, where the waterways are seldom wider than the boat or
the water is only 4 inch deep - WE CAN REACH THOSE SPOTS, WHERE OTHERS CAN
NOT - because we don’t run ONLY the "biggest boats", but also smaller
boats - where necessary. |

unique in British Columbia.
You
stay at our first class riverfront lodge to ensure you get only the best.

Your Host - A Success Story
I was raised in the
Black Forest in Germany. After driving 14,000 miles throughout North
America I decided that the Fraser River Valley was the place I wanted to
call home. I've learned that the most productive salmon and sturgeon river
in the entire world had no fishing lodge. My mission was created from that
moment on...
 |
| Your Host - Frank Staiger w/ Client |
I started small and careful
- quality instead of quantity - and built the business up to one of the
most recognized fishing lodges in the World. My goal was always not to
become the largest lodge, where guests are just numbers, but to become the
#1 in quality and service. We are continuously working on improving and
won't stop in doing so. Every year our guests return, they see new
improvements. We just finished our stunning 1,000 sq ft. games room with a
tournament snooker table, foosball, dart and big screen TV.
We now have a
repeat booking rate of over 90% and very soon, the lodge will turn into a
private fishing club for regular guests only. But - no worries, there are
always some openings for new guests in the future. We have an incredible
loyalty from our guests. Many of them became good friends over the years
and years of return.
Thank you to all those guests, who made it
possible for us to build such a stunning lodge, for being loyal and
staying with our company. Thank you to our
hard working staff, who work "night and day". Thank
you to our loyal guides, who make sure, you get into fish and have
the time of your life on the water. Thank you
to the District of Kent and the support of the Mayor and City Council.
Today, our lodge is featured on many TV Shows, The Wall Street Journal,
The Daily Mirror, etc.
I want to personally welcome you at our lodge and invite you to a relaxed,
but exciting fishing holiday. I can assure you we are going the famous
extra mile with excellent and personal service. After your stay, if there
is anything you can think of, how we can improve our services, please let
us know. If you are totally satisfied, please let others know.
"People go where they are invited and return where
they are well treated". I am looking forward seeing you at the
lodge.
Tight lines,
Frank Staiger - owner

Gourmet Dining With a Spectacular View
When visiting our lodge, dining is an integral part of the
lodge experience. All our meat, salad, eggs, fruit (in season), cheese,
berries and veggies are locally raised and grown. The bread is from our
local bakery which uses local grown grains. We know
the farmers and producers of our food and therefore we guarantee freshness
and quality. You can expect nothing but the best in this unique
environment.
“As I drove over the Fraser River Bridge, I wondered
what to expect from this 'new lodge' everyone was raving about. I had
booked the facility for an executive retreat without seeing it and could
only hope everything would be suitable. Two days later, all I could think
about was 'what a spectacular facility this is' - the setting was stunning
- the food a gastronomic feast - the service was exceptionally
accommodating and the rooms restful and peaceful after a mentally
exhausting day. Overall, it felt like the ultimate in luxury without the
pretentiousness.” ~ Dale Cuthbertson, BC
Close your eyes and imagine sitting down to a truly
enjoyable gourmet dinner in front of the breath-taking, world-class view
of the Fraser River and the magnificent Mt. Cheam. |

THE LAKES AND RIVERS |
|
|
British Columbia is famous for its natural scenic
beauty, mighty rivers and remote lakes that offer spectacular fly
fishing opportunities. The group will experience three incredible and
different locations for a truly memorable and well-rounded fishing
experience.

We begin our first day with an breath-taking, scenic
canyon flight into a private trout lake which is fully-stocked with
legendary Kamloops Rainbows; famous for their fighting ability and
attained size. Fish in the 2-5 pound range are common (18 to 24
inches).
On
day two, we again take to the air and fly up a spectacular, long
lake where we meet the guides.
Then we travel by boat well up into a pristine
wilderness river canyon. This river is fly fishing heaven and gives us
great opportunities to fly fish for feisty Bull Trout and Dolly Varden
Char.
|

Day three finds us home on the Mighty Fraser River.
Famous the world over for it’s spectacular salmon runs, our guests
will discover why first-hand as we fish for big, powerful King
(Chinook) Salmon. These beautiful, silver fish are regularly landed in
the 25 - 45 pound range. Hook into one of these monsters and you’ll
appreciate that 300 yards of line on your reel.

Another option for reserve is to fish for the “Fraser
River Marlin”... the Giant White Sturgeon. These magnificent fish live
over 200 years, reach lengths of over 16 ft. Our record last year was
8 1/2 ft, and 35 sturgeon landed by one boat in one day! This is truly
an amazing sport fish.
